Congrats!
I’ve seen some reports on the local news about people paying a lot for the process....Hope it wasn’t that way for you!

"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil... Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel." - Isaiah 5:20,24

Congratulations to the MRS. in her endevor to be a legal citizen of this country. .....several years ago one of my co-workers came from Costa Rica and his account of the process he had to go thru the length of time and money cost thru the legal system was absolutely worth it for him and his family with other family members following in his footsteps. .............................drill sgt.

There were no legal issues where my wife was concerned because she was here legitimately as my wife.

At the time she initiated the process the fee was $700+. Now it's up to $1200 or so? It's non-refundable, too. You miss any one of your scheduled appointments and you best have a damn good reason, otherwise they dump you and you have to start all over from scratch.

That made her appointment for the interview and citizenship test something of a nail-biter. We had a major snow storm the evening before and that morning, couldn't take my AWD Jeep (for reasons I won't get into)--so we had to take her little front-wheel drive Equinox, and her appointment was first thing in the morning.

She wanted me to thank all of you for your kind words Smile She's been following the thread. Remarked "I got more well wishes there than I did on Facebook." "Well, honey," I replied, "I have 87,958 friends on SIGforum."

The sad thing is in the future the Democrats will make becoming a Citizen nothing more than being able to sneak across our Border and promises to vote Democrat the rest of their lives will be the Oath taken. This is how nations die.

One of the most memorable events in my life was going to some German friends swearing in as citizens. I suggest if anyone here gets the chance go to one of these.

Look up the oath they have to take to become a citizen, it is still not 'politically correct'.

Our great Grandfather came here in 1847 as a 20 year old with his two sisters from Germany. In 1850 he became a citizen. In later years his home caught fire and he risked his life to go in the burning house to retrieve his citizenship papers. We still have those papers today.
