Exactly. The concept of "Liberty" is completely lost on him. He knows "What is Best" for me. This is the elitist/commie/totalitarian belief system I object to.

It is sad that our forefathers went to war over preserving their liberty, yet most Americans today gladly trade it away for bread and circuses.

That makes perfect sense, until you realize that everyone ends up paying for everyone else's behavior, by paying for medicare, medicaid, and private health insurance premiums.
