Whatta surprise. Not.

“Businesses in California are fleeing the state at a rapid pace amid skyrocketing taxes - and, according to new research, there is 'no end in sight.'

The rate at which businesses are leaving California more than doubled in 2021 from the previous year, according to a new report from the Hoover Institute at Stanford University.

The report revealed that 153 companies moved their headquarters last year, which was twice as many as the 75 that left in 2020 and 2019 and more than triple the 46 that left in 2018.

Texas has been a popular destination for many California companies to set up new headquarters, including for Tesla, Oracle, Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Charles Schwab.

The research institute pointed to economics being the reason for the companies' mass exodus with other states offering lower taxes and lower cost of living.

And if businesses continued to flee, experts say it could affect the state's economy beyond that go beyond loss of tax revenue and job opportunities. …”

Way too many d-bags left thinking they're missionaries not refugees.

A missionary believes that when they go somewhere that they need to spread their values from the homeland.

A refugee escapes their homeland and warns others of the dangers of the old ways.

Glad I do not live in Texas. We did have one California person move to our state last year. That is plenty.
