No, I'm not stocking up on canned food and ammo. I don't think that's how you be prepared. I'm preparing by eliminating debt and saving up my cash.

Look at Detroit. That place was a ghost town a few years ago. Detroit has 6 billionaires in it. Those 6 guys have bought up a huge percentage of the city and are now developing it. They're going to make a killing.

That's my plan on a much smaller scale. Houses will be upside down, they won't be able to sell cars, people will be in debt and loosing their jobs, credit will be next to impossible to get...you get the idea.

that's when I'll be buying with cash and building my holdings. When the shitshow eventually corrects itself, I'll be sitting on a small empire all paid for in cash with pennies on the dollar.

Just a hunch, but that's my "prepping effort."

500 million to Planned Parenthood. How much does the NRA get? 0?

And Planned Parenthood will take a portion of that money and funnel it into Democratic campaigns.

I look at this shit and wonder why I vote republican, let along vote at all anymore. This is bullshit and should have had no so-called conservative supporting it.

Senator Kennedy (LA): "This is a Great-Dane size whizz down the leg of every taxpayer in this country".

A rather memorable soundbite, and accurate, I thought. Chuck Schumer is so happy, "This is the end of austerity". Eek Frown

There is nothing there that would not have had more trouble passing if we had 60 Republican senators.

Jesus.
So basically all of our elected officials are corrupted and are on the Soros dole.
We have maybe what, 4-5 guys in there that are actually supporting conservative policies and the rest are in lockstep with the dirty commies.

I don't know about the rest of you (well, I actually do Wink ) but I'd start preparing for a fight against a tyrannical government if I were you.

Just one step deeper in socialism, which will expand austerity and promote servitude to the government.

It's not yet noon. So far today, we have threats of a trade war, the President's lead lawyer has resigned, and Congress is debating a 22-hundred page spending bill that no one has read. The Dow is down almost 500 points. Happy Thursday.

Worse at close:

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

We can only hope. I think the GOP establishment figures they have a handle on Trump. Hoping for a veto sounds like a Hail Mary.

It is very disheartening.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

Trump likes to travel. Please go to Venezuela Mr. President and have a good look around.

It doesn't look good for fiscal conservative values. Last chance for someone in the Senate grows a spine in the next day........

“Let’s cut right to the chase: Is the President going to sign the bill?” Office of Management and Budget Director Mick Mulvaney told reporters at a briefing. “The answer is yes."

Trump needs to veto this and claim it as a victory for the DREAMers.
I guess the MSM is to preoccupied by Stormy what's her name to see this coming.
They need to shut it down and when nobody notices after a few weeks send pink slips to all those that we don't need.

chellim, I can get this kind of doomsday bullshit that's in this thread any hour of the day, by tuning into MSNBC.

You may recall- ever so vaguely- that you and I have had a conversation- excuse me- conversations about this kind of crap.

Gentlemen and ladies, this thread is locked.
