Social Media Calls For Hobby Lobby Boycott Over Pro-Trump Message

https://www.toddstarnes.com/ca...ibdy6Sah--l8N726ULvI

It could very well be the dumbest reason to boycott a store in the history of the cancel culture movement.

Someone arranged a bunch of decorative letters to spell out, “USA VOTE TRUMP.”

Clever, right?

“Hobby Lobby will get ZERO and I do mean ZERO of my family’s money. I will not set foot in one EVER again,” one hysterical shopper screeched.

“Let’s completely show the world how disgusting this company is in their support of hate and racism,” wrote another. “Don’t shop at this hate filled establishment!”

The angry mob stormed the Christian company’s social media pages armed with digital torches and pitchforks — demanding they be canceled because a clever customer had a bit of political-themed fun.

What’s the harm? Where’s the foul?

The bigger issue is the highly contagious disease known as “Trump Derangement Syndrome.”

In my new book, “Culture Jihad: How to Stop the Left From Killing a Nation,” I show Americans how to effectively fight back against those who want to silence dissenting opinion. Click here to read the book.

If a bunch of decorative letters spelling out the president’s name causes you to suffer a psychotic break, you should seek medical attention – immediately.

My guess, the person screaming for the ban is the same person who arranged the letters and took the pic. Wink

Nearest HL is 60+ miles away and doesn't really stock much stuff that interests me. However, when Winter Diorama Season kicks in, I'll make it a point to drive up and pick up a few things.

Per the article in the OP, it was a customer.

It's a "thing" online... Going into Hobby Lobby or similar stores and rearranging the decorative letters to spell out various stuff, then posting it on social media. It's been going on for many years.

I guess we're lucky that the fundamentalist Christians didn't get similarly up in arms and declare a boycot for their apparent "support of Satan" (Roll Eyes) over this one, which has been making the rounds online:

And yes, it's even a thing among people who hate Trump too, and has been for years... This one is at least two years old:

This one's almost 4 years old:

Note the lack of corresponding outrage from the right directed towards Hobby Lobby, just because these couple of random liberal customer decided to pull political stunts at their stores. It's almost as if... it's not their fault? That Hobby Lobby itself had nothing to do with it? Hmm... Might be on to something there.

And we realize the person(s) doing that are only hurting themselves.

Cancel culture has done some spectacular character assassinations in the past on people but their track record hurting businesses isn't as stellar. The primary example would be Chic-fil-a. They were slowly but steadily edging upwards in market share at the time. If it weren't for the LGBTQRSTU... attack almost a decade ago, they would likely not be looking at a meteoric rise in business since. Decent people all over the country (plus me) ate way too many chicken sandwiches then and in the ensuing years as a direct consequence. What a great way to counter protest.

Too bad Hobby Lobby doesn't carry much that I want. But I'm sure many people will respond similarly to the Chic-fil-a thing. At least, enough to counter any exodus of idiots' dollars they might experience.

But it is perfectly okay for the owner of Penzeys Spices to tell people if you support Trump, do not shop at our stores. Typical progressive hypocrites!

I’ve never been much of Hobby Lobby person.... I’m not crafty and I don’t agree with their no birth control meds policy......

That said, I can see that I’m going to have to spend A LOT OF TIME over the next two months recreating these messages, but about Hiden Biden.
