This multiple pillows on the bed thing came from HGTV and other girlie networks . I just knock them off on the floor and go about my business .

Oh, I knew about that, and figured that out years ago. That's why I made sure when the bathroom was remodeled, the shower & medicine cabinet/ vanity were big enough.

Somehow comforting that i’m not alone in this particular Hell.

Wife had me on a Holy Grail Pillow Quest for a year. I bought over a dozen of tgem trying to find the right one for her before she gave it a rest.
I sweat cold when we bring up the subject. Yesterday i bought a pillow for the MILF and hope i dodged the bullet but wont be sure until a few days have passed.
