Was thinking about good shows that Ran too long and had crappy final episodes.

My vote is MASH

Game of Thrones most recently comes to mind.

That show, for me, was almost completely ruined by the final season, and the final episode

Sons of Anarchy. (SoA) -- predictable ending after a lot of dragging on and on, season after season.

Both Dexter and SOA had been circling the toilet bowl for several seasons and I was just glad to see them over with.

"Lost" went down the shitter as well, having set the stage pretty well from seasons past but the writers just not being able to pull the threads into a cohesive ending that made any reasonable sense.

Wait. Which one? “The Bob Newhart Show”? “Newhart”? Or “Bob”?

Bloodline, it easily could've gone another season....had plenty of interest.....but then they just crammed a very quick and sloppy ending on season 3.........

I thought the end of "Newhart" (Resort owner) reverting back to "The Bob Newhart Show" (Psych) was very good.

I agree with the GOT ending being lame. The sappiness of the new democracy meeting seemed like something out of a Brady Bunch episode.

Dexter
Still holds the #1 spot for me. What started as a great series got worse & worse, and had a terrible ending.

Ballers and Silicon Valley were both cancelled and ran their final seasons this year. Both were ended terribly.

I would normally say lost, but that is due to the last two seasons, not the last episode.

So, Sopranos it is.

BNS ending was pretty good.

I might have to agree with this one. After the first 2 seasons which were incredible, how they ended the series was just awful.

As far as dedicated finales, I thought M.A.S.H. was horrible, and I only lasted halfway through it. But then I bailed on the last few seasons, my last one was when Winchester came on board.

Contrary to many, I thought The Sopranos finale was great.
