We were originally going to go with IKEA for our August 2022 kitchen renovation but you can't get anything from them right now so we decided to go local. The place we are dealing with features two brands: Wolf and Bertch.

Wolf as in PA Dictator/Asshole Tom Wolf's family (yes I know they allegedly sold the company) so we aren't going with them because I refuse to give that MF'ing tyrant a dime in any way.

We are going to go with Bertch and I was wondering if anyone here had them? Looking at the Marketplace line which works with our budget. My wife's parents got them installed (Kitchen+ line) two years ago and are happy with them and they seem well made.

I'd like to get your feedback on them if possible, thank you!

We bought some used for our bathroom at the cabin. Mrs. Pal had heard plenty of good things about them. The ones we bought were very well built.

Yes we used them in our kitchen remodel which is nearly five years ago now. We used a kitchen designer and she suggested Bertch cabinets as I was adamant that I wanted a level above what I would get at Home Depot or Menards but we're not luxury home owners either.

They have been great so far. Love the soft close hardware on all of them!

Haven't cleaned up the kitchen yet this morning. Wife's not due home until this afternoon! Big Grin

Do you recall which line of Bertch cabinets you used?

I’d have to go back to our invoices and look. Leaving for fishing for 3 days so it might be awhile

We wanted a step above average and went with Bertch cabinets in our new kitchen addition back in 1986!. They still looked and functioned almost like new when we sold the house in 2018.

I have that brand in my bathroom. Looks and works perfectly since the Feb 2000 installation.
Been very happy with this choice.

The only maintenance I needed was to replace the flattened OEM silicone foam bumpers with felt ones.

Wow, that gives me a good feeling that we are making the right choice here.

Thanks

In December we replaced our old cabinets with ones from Bertch called "Lexington" in "Toffee."

Fit and finish is very good. Basic quality is there. They had some neat options for cabinets and doors in corners.

Our only complaint is minor: that the finish was not perfectly smooth in all places. A light wipe with the type of steel wool* used by carpenters did the job of smoothing the finish nicely. (I think this roughness comes from the varnish finish being applied by spraying, which is probably common to most cabinets).

*This type of steel wool is not the same as the kind with soap used in kitchens; it is intended for finishing wood surfaces only.
