An Alabama woman used a pot of hot grease to defend herself when her ex-boyfriend burglarized her home, authorities said.

The ex-boyfriend, 31-year-old Larondrick Macklin, is now held in the Morgan County jail with bail set at $300,000. Macklin is charged with two felonies: burglary and domestic violence, according to court records.

The situation happened this past Thursday at the woman’s home on Wimberly Drive in southwest Decatur. Police were called to investigate a domestic dispute. Macklin was at the scene suffering burns on his face, said Decatur police spokeswoman Emme Long.

An investigation revealed the ex-girlfriend threw a pot of grease on Macklin after he went into her apartment and brandished a pistol, according to court records.

After getting medical treatment, Macklin was taken to jail.

If convicted, he faces up to life in prison.

This seems high for assault with a deadly weapon or even attempted murder. Unless this ain't his first rodeo. (Which is very probable.)
