Kentucky Judge Does it right-1 Million Cash Bail Login/Join

The title pretty much says it all. A thug murdered a man on the campus (or near) a university in KY and wounded another. His lawyer asked for 25 to 50k bail. The judge said 500k FOR EACH offense, cash bail. Just a little cheer after a really sad day for me.

Actually sounds more like someone who should be ineligible for bail to me.
Is offering bail a requirement now?
