drtenb330Hulk Hogan, gone
He lived near me for a while in South FLA - he was unbelievably friendly, went out of his way to be social. He had an event at his home for kids, I remember he had it on his show, and he made sure to have kosher food.
Tough guy, smart, with a kind heart.
RIP

Two icons in one week.
Doing wrestling promos will make you a good speaker along with taking your vitamins, saying your prayers, and doing your push ups, brother.
I guess this is what it’s like to be old. Bigger than life personas from your youth start dropping off.
He certainly wasn’t perfect in any way. He was a character. But I think he was being real when he said on an interview, that Trump being shot at, made him stop being afraid of voicing his support for Trump. He didn’t want to alienate a big part of his fan base who were buying his merch and he didn’t want to risk his businesses and his family like what happened to Justice Kavanaugh. But Trump getting shot made him decide enough and he became vocal.
While some might question the amount of his influence, I think his voice added to the chorus that it’s alright to want to vote for Trump.
I understand he returned to his faith and got baptized again. I suppose he’ll be hanging out in the Venice Beach counterpart in heaven.
His intro music has been playing in my head. “I am a real American…”

r0gueI listened to his interview on Rogan a year or so ago. Seemed like a really great guy. Wild stories of back in the day. Well worth a listen/watch if you're a a child of the 70s 80s.
I wasn't a big time fan of the genre, but he was always my fav of the wrestlers.

Thanks for the info, I will do that. I was a big fan of the WWWF back in the day. Great entertainment. I remember the first time I saw him he was a "bad guy", think he wrestled Bruno Sammartino.
