bendablePat Tillman, you are not forgotton
Patrick Daniel Tillman (November 6, 1976 – April 22, 2004) was an American professional football player in the National Football League (NFL) who left his sports career
and enlisted in the United States Army in June 2002 in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks.
His service in Iraq and Afghanistan, and subsequent death, were the subject of national attention when he was killed by friendly fire.[1]

AnimalMother88if you watched the Super Bowl Intro this year, did you see the kid stop in front of Pat's statue? Certainly made the allergies flare...

captain127An example of what I want Americans to be. Had the golden ticket but served his country instead, an example to many. I did spend some time at the Tillman USO center waiting my fight to or from home while In Afghanistan. If our current politicians had 1/4 the guts and balls of Pat we would be in a much better place. While there are exceptions, 98% of our current political electorate would not be worthy of wiping Pat’s ass

darthfusterI have pondered the shame of his loss many times over the years. One day I intend to shake his resurrected hand and thank him for his sacrifice.

sourdough44I did watch the documentary, rather troubling.
He was without question a hero.
I don’t care for, ‘the fog of war’.

DoubleAdobeThank the Lord above for such men as Pat Tillman. You will be missed, brother.
BTW, read the book and as said, it was troubling. Very.
It however, to me at least, does nothing to diminish the manly qualities of this hero.
As a matter of fact, quite to the contrary.

flashguyI am not a football fan, but even I recognize what the country lost when Pat Tillman was killed.
At one time a majority of males in the US Congress had served in the military--now a very few have done so. We were a lot better off with more veterans in Congress.
