For my deployment to end. Maybe not soon enough. Not withstanding the 14 IDF events we've had so far, last night a 6' representative of this wandered through the compound.

I spent a lot of time in that neck of the woods, but never saw one of those. Some of my time was in tents, some in CHU's. I often wondered what might enter the tents. When I was in Iraq, I thought the pictures of the camel spiders were doctored up internet hoaxes, until I ran into one at night in Basrah. I'd seen tarantula-sized ones in other locations up north, but it wasn't until I saw one in Basrah that I believed they could get that big. Really big...and I thought about that every night after, in my tent.

I'm sure there were enough snakes there, but oddly never saw one.

I think it would be considered a Local National, V-Rail and tough to get an exit Visa to ship home! Given a very wide berth.
