A few years ago I was laying in bed watching the news when they announced that J&J had lost the lawsuit about talc powder causing cooter cancer. Immediately, I jumped up and ran to the computer. I was able to buy four bottles of baby powder before they ran out in under a minute. Since then, I have been sparingly powdering the boys, with growing apprehension as my supply dwindled. I had hoped that other suppliers, like Baby Gold Bond, Monkey Butt, or Happy Nuts would still use talc, but no. Alas, every U.S. source is a coward, and has switched to some other powder type. Corn starch!!? No thanks, I don't need biscuits in my trousers after a sweaty day. Corn starch just doesn't provide the slick feeling of talc powder. Recently I went to Amazon, thinking I might have to just buy industrial talc to powder my cojones just as men have done since the Romans. To my delight, I found that Yardleys of London sells a talc based gentleman's powder, and has been doing so for 250 years. Not only does it provide the comfort of talc, it has a nice gentlemanly scent, making you smell like you belong in first class. As a plus, it comes in a nice, legitimately recyclable tin container, instead of the faux recyclable plastic that is choking our planet. Yardleys Classic Powder Thank you, U.K., for not going down the tort road of the U.S., where every company is so worried about liability that common sense is thrown out the window. There is zero, nada, chance that 1/2 of the population is susceptible to cervical cancer, but for the fear of a single tort claim, millions of men (or women with lady balls) have to suffer with a chaffed, uncomfortable, jock itch prone nether-region. I've never seen it in stores. Perhaps we can get Target to carry the lavender scented Yardley for those who like to tuck their junk to the back and dance naked in front of the mirror. Demand not that events should happen as you wish; but wish them to happen as they do happen, and you will go on well. -Epictetus

I still have these on hand This is the way Yardley used to be packaged back in the 50s. I'm on the cusp of 76 and used to use this stuff regularly back in the day. Loved the Aramis stuff as well as Yardley for a nice after shave application.. Certifiable member of the gun toting, septuagenarian, bucket list workin', crazed retiree, bald is beautiful club! I have some “Trident” UNSCENTED talcum powder. Found it on Amazon, of course. Its intended purpose is to make rubber wet suits easier to put on. Here’s a thread about talcum powder. If you prefer a non-talc option, Gold bond is what I use. https://www.goldbond.com/en-us...strength-body-powder Hedley Lamarr: Wait, wait, wait. I'm unarmed. Bart: Alright, we'll settle this like men, with our fists. Hedley Lamarr: Sorry, I just remembered . . . I am armed.

Not that I use Talcum powder. But corn starch does sound like a great medium for yeast and other fungus. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." I used to he a huge fan of original talc Gold Bond, and was similarly disappointed when the industry shifted away from talc powders. But honestly, these days, the new generation of body powder sprays are even better than loose powder. No mess, better application, and easier to get into nooks and crannies, while still keeping the boys cool and dry. Check those out if you haven't already. It might convert you from the loose powders, like it did for me. I use Gold Bond brand, but there are other brands too.
