This was on my front step this morning. Goggle suggests it might be a horse hair worm? Never seen anything like it before. 40 cal for scale.

Blech! Reminds me of roundworms or some other parasitic worm I used to see in pup feces...I’d kill it without hesitation.

x2

At least Jesse captures it on video. It would have been ground into the concrete, then I would have thought “should have got that on video”.

I have seen something similar crawl out of a roach I squished. There was a video about a parasitic worm that would live inside bugs and make them commit suicide. I'll see if I can find it

Yep, hairworm

The one I saw was much much thinner than the ones in the video, barely wider than a human hair. Maybe a different species?

yuck!

I recently saw a nasty worm and didn't know what it was, as well. It was hanging out under an old tarp in the back yard. Turns out it was a planarian, aka flatworm, with a weird scalloped head. Apparently they eat earthworms and should be dispatched post haste. https://www.dirtdoctor.com/gar...n-flatworm_vq553.htm

I'm gonna vote for the funniest frog with the loudest croak on the highest log.
