What was the driver of the car waiting for? Did he wanted to shake hands with the pilot afterwards?

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

You haven’t lived until you’ve tried to take a leak while strapped into an ejection seat.

As a child, I pissed my pants. Nothing happens. NO fireball or explosive detonations.
You end up wet.
Land on an interstate, who knows what can happen.

This was a couple of days ago.
He had engine failure shortly after departing Talladega Airport.

He certainly did not land because he had to take a leak.

But it is common to need to urinate from a highly stressful incident as a result of the part of the brain that "inhibits" the "pee whenever you have something in the bladder".

it's "priority", the brain kicks into "preservation mode", and all the cool accessories and features take a back seat, and the "don't pee right now" is one of those.

So, yeah, he thought " I feel the need for peed!"

^^^
That makes more sense. And he lived to pee about it.
It also explains his casualness.
