I've never been, and I'm going with my wife and son to visit her sister. I know there's all sorts of historical stuff to see, but if you only had a week or so, what would you do? We'll be staying in Cape Cod, if that makes a difference. Last week of February.

Thanks in advance.

If you stop in Plymouth on the your way to the city, you'll be immensely disappointed with the "rock"!

Head west to Lexington/Concord is nice if you have the time and enjoy history.

North end of Boston to enjoy some Italian food. Quincy Market/Faneuil Hall is fun to walk through.

Agree with all of the above. Plus, stop by Mikes Pastry while you’re in the north end. It’s cash only, but you’ll get the best cannoli around!

Mikes is now an overpriced tourist trap. Go to one of the smaller bakeries. The cannolis are all about the same.

These go to eleven.

From the cape to Boston is about 1 1/2 hours by car. Not to dissuade you, just making you aware.

Boston is a great town. The historical aspects are worth a visit. Walking the Freedom Trail is a great way to view many of the historical sites. February can be cold but there are many places to warm up along the way.

Boston is a foodie town but it's been awhile since my last visit so I am not up to date on the current restaurants. I can recommend the Union Oyster House. It's been around for almost 200 years. The seafood is basic fare, kind of a tourist trap but with true history.

If members of your party are into the shopping thing. Newbury Street is the place to go. Many interesting buildings and shops.

Don't overlook the Cape. Provincetown is an interesting place. I see you are near Seattle. If you are OK with the alternative lifestyles you see in Seattle, you will be OK with Provincetown. Wandering around the smaller villages along the shore is fun. February may be cold but the advantage is that it will not be crowded.

Enjoy the trip. The New England coast has long been one on my favorite places to visit.

Let me help you out. Which way did you come in?

The Cape is an hour or so by car to Boston Proper. Late February can be a bit cold but also can be bearable. I’m in the North End of Boston. There are plenty of great restaurants here, if you want message me and I will give you the names of the tourist traps to avoid. As far as indoor activities there is the MFA, ICA and Isabella Stewart Gardner museum, as much as the mindset sucks Harvard has amazing museums in Cambridge. The Freedom trail is excellent some areas on it are junkie heaven you may want to avoid.

I had been several times for work, but didn't get to see much due to long hours. I got to see Old North Church made famous by Paul Revere since it was near a business dinner. I always wanted to see more, but all of my business trips were late fall, winter, or early spring so not really sight seeing weather.

3 years ago, I friend was getting married in a small town on the VT and NH border so I flew into Logan. On the way back, I spent a couple days in Boston to see the historical sights. I stayed at the W in downtown, and highly recommend it due to location and classiness (at the time, it was a good price for a downtown Boston hotel). Walking the Freedom trail was great, Boston Common & Garden were great despite AntiFA presence, and Harvard was OK (not much different than any other red brick college campus). Parking was a PITA everywhere and the founding fathers must've been drunk off their asses when they laid out the city streets.

As with most big cities, the foodie site Eater has an essential 38 restaurant list that covers all different food genres and price ranges. Like every time I go to a new city and try restaurants off the list, I had some fantastic dining experiences while I was there. One of the best and least expensive was Boston's Chinatown was only a few blocks away so I went to the best rated dumpling restaurant in the city.

Oh also, in case you didn't know, Boston has a Vaccine and Mask mandate. You must show vaccine card any public place, restaurants, theaters, etc.

Also must wear a mask in those places. Commie bastards.

These go to eleven.

What town on the Cape are you staying in? I live in Eastham, which is on the outer cape.

Well. That's going to drastically limit what I can do. I'll wear my Fakemask if I have to, but I haven't and won't get the mystery shot.

If you opt to not got to Boston, there are a lot of hikes to do on the outer cape. This area is a lot different than mid-cape where you will be. A neat area to check out is the abandoned North Truro Air Force Base. Let me know if you need any insight into things to do!

If you have access to a car and don't want to deal with MA's mask bullshit, come up to NH. The northeast sucks to visit in the winter if you're not into winter things but at least you can visit the Sig store in Epping.

If you do the Freedom Walk, GO ON THE GUIDED TOUR that starts at Boston Common. The guides dress in period attire, are VERY knowledgeable, and will give information on the tour that you'd have to buy books or scour the internet to find.

To be clear there are no state covid rules. No mask required. It is individual cities like Boston requiring them. I’m in the city now having seen Bruce Dickinson at the Shubert theater last night. The vaccine and mask nazi shit is brutal. I won’t be back to the city for a long time.

These go to eleven.
