We have a Jackery 1000. It sits in our house, ready to go when I'm away overnight working EMS. Pam can plug in the fridge or the gas range and some lights without having to pull the generator.

I take it to Fish Camp so we can have some power when we camp in places without power.

Not a whole house backup. More essential backup.

Doubled my 2048whr battery this year for extra power. This way the refrigerator and freezer are covered. Can also power the WiFi.

Next step is to put a manual transfer switch on the gas furnace for heat in the winter.

Have a couple other batteries for lighting at night

Save yourself a bunch of money and get a lithium battery and an inverter in the size you need. Does the same thing but it's just not in a fancy box. Much cheaper. Can also build it into a solar system if you want.

The fancy box has a charger as well or does the inverter function as a charger? I had one on my sailboat that did, but don't know if the new ones do this.

It all depends on which you choose. I was looking at doing a 2nd battery in a box in my truck bed and using a DC to DC charger.
I am now going to get one of these battery boxes and many of them are making alternator chargers for them now.

Seem to be the best options. Just waiting for some sales.

When shopping prices take a look at Anker Solix too. I have a pair of 3600W Ecoflow's and a 1000W Anker. Jackery didn't have the good batteries when I was looking at them.

I also have the Jackery 1000. So far it only waits to be used in case of outage but I primarily got it to run a small fridge for camping and road trips.

Project Farm just did a video on these battery back ups…

I've been using my EcoFlow this week for various tasks and have come to really like it. The panel is super logical in presentation of information and switchology.

Though it has an app, which normally I would dislike, the EcoFlow is completely usable without the app. The app connects via bluetooth, so no out-and-back across the internet to talk to the unit. The options in the app are clearly explained. You can control how long the display remains lit and similar things which are niceties. Some more advanced functions are accessed via the app to change the default settings, but you can still use the function without the app.

I've never used any other power station to compare to, but so far this is a very impressive product.

Thanks for sharing, I just watched and was going to share. Ecoflow looks like a winner at the 1KW range. I got my Delta 2 for $400 IIRC.
