If I remember correct, you have acreage in East Texas and run cattle. Are you looking for it to be fixed at your house/shop/barn or are you looking for it to be mobile in your truck/utv/atv?

Looking to keep it at the house. Would like to be able to run the fridge and freezer, maybe the internet router for a few hours.
Ease of solar charging is something to keep in mind, although I imagine it will mostly get charged from the grid. Power has gotten much more stable out here from when I was a kid.

Might get something smaller and more portable later on for use around the place.I've made do with an pretty big inverter out and about the past several years.

No option for Bluetti?

Voted Eco-Flow only because I have 2 and have had no issues in the 5 years I've owned them. Small one is battery backup for broadband/phone/TV. Stays plugged in all the time and automatically kicks on if power goes out. Large one will handle fridge and/or incubator/brooder for chicks if I've had a recent hatch. I charge it and store. Recharge every 6 months or so. Usually still at 99% after that time. Have a fireplace for backup heat and larger gas inverter generator if things get out of hand.

I use the Ecoflow Delta 2 Max with 2 extra batteries, and also have the Ecoflow generator that will auto start/stop to charge the batteries if need be. But this takes up one of the extra battery ports when in use. Otherwise I charge with 4x 250watt panels. 2 panels run into 1 leg and the other 2 into second leg.

This all runs my 40' container shop at my offgrid property in eastern Oklahoma. The thing is easy and bullet proof. Never had any issues with power or running out so far.

The different manufacturers are all pretty much even now. Ecoflow, Jackery, Bluetti and Anker seem to be the most liked and innovative in the field. Look around and see what best fits with power needs and price.

I bought most of my items from Wellbots.com always seem to have really good pricing on their items.

One YouTuber I watch who lives in hurricane country runs a gasoline generator during the day and then runs an ecoflow/jackery at night for peace and quiet. The ecoflow/jackery with solar makes a lot of sense too.

I'm also using a couple of Ecolflow Delta 2 Max's with extra batteries. I've had them for about 2 yrs and been pretty happy. The Maxs handle higher solar input which is why I got them instead of the regular Delta 2's.

My panels total 450w and during the summer I'm averaging 370w-sh input during the optimal part of the day. If I get 270-290watts, I consider it good.

+1. I recently bought a Bluetti AC200 for my van and so far I am very happy with its features and capabilities.

To answer the OP's question, I think you can safely shop based on price when considering similar features sets from any of these three brands.

I went ecoflow and both have been flawless. I have a Delta 2 1Kwh and River 3 245wh.

I've had a small Jackery for about 5-yrs now, most of its usage has been when I'm in my storage locker for work usage (laptops, fans, etc..) but, its nice to have around when Gavin's blackouts start to hit.

Save yourself a bunch of money and get a lithium battery and an inverter in the size you need. Does the same thing but it's just not in a fancy box. Much cheaper. Can also build it into a solar system if you want.

When I was looking at these units a few months ago, Bluetti had the highest percentage of less than stellar reviews. Maybe not the best way to eliminate the brand, but that's what I did.

Ive done all that. I have a solar panel, and a voltage regulator, and an inverter, and batteries...and I have a system that works....I just want an all in one,fancy box manufactured unit.

Same as when I used to build my own PCs....I don't do that anymore, either.

Any more, I'm not so sure that a DIY modular system is actually that much cheaper than an all-in-one unit, unless you go exclusively with off-brand Amazon stuff. There are pro and cons to both, but a standalone power station is very handy to have for portability and convenience. I did buy an off-brand portable solar panel for mine.

A couple different thoughts.
Batteries are like gun safes. Figure out what you need, then double it. Ask me how I know…. I always seem to find the need for more stored energy.


I went with Anker. At the time, they had the longest full charge time (10 years) and 4,000 cycles. Didn’t like the Jackery battery type but that may have changed. Haven’t researched the other one.

I went with Bluetti about three years ago and have not had a power outage (more that a brief few minutes) since then. So no issues or complaints but no usage either.

I noticed that Costco handles Anker directly via Anker. They have good discounts via Costco and periodic good sales. They seem to make some good innovative equipment. Doing it over I would seriously consider Anker via Costco.

We just ordered an EcoFlow this weekend. The wife liked the looks better than Bluetti or Jackery. One thing I liked about the EcoFlow is they advertise their gas generator can be hooked up to automatically start and recharge the battery power station when the battery gets drawn down. But I couldn't find the gas generator on their website, so idk.

I liked the adjustable tilt stands on the solar panels. Bluetti didn't convince me their panel tilt could be adjustable.

The EcoFlow looked like a good ecosystem to be in, where we can add easily in the future. Bluetti has had some less than stellar YT reviews.

The pricing was quite similar between the 3 brands for essentially identical specs. We got the Delta 3 Plus and 200W of solar cells. 1024Wh capacity, 1800W output with surge to 3600W.

The EcoFlow website really annoyed me, all kinds of fancy stuff which made it difficult for a first timer there to even shop. THe other brands' sites weren't as annoying, but it didn't end up swaying my decision.

I went full solar with ecoflow. I researched all the major brands and ecoflow is the easiest to set up and had the most features. I now have 4 inverters that will output 28k and 120k of battery storage with 24k solar input. During the spring, fall & summer I can run my house 100% normal, winter is a challenge due to lack of sunshine and short days. My advice is never, ever, ever update software with whatever system you buy, if it does what you want leave it alone. I've seen tons of problems that are the result of bad updates.

The fancy box has a charger as well or does the inverter function as a charger? I had one on my sailboat that did, but don't know if the new ones do this.
