Damn I didn't realize the KKK was still out here clamoring about the inferiority of non-whites. That is some of the most racist shit I've ever seen. Kind of wish I had Twitter now so I could read the rest of her defense. Jesse Sic Semper Tyrannis

I don't consider it a "rightward direction", but just a dedication to the original meanings. It is definitely different from a "leftist line" but that doesn't make it a "rightward" move. That has to be the most bigoted, racist statement I've seen recently. flashguy Texan by choice, not accident of birth

I strongly suspect the "Erica Marsh" account is a troll account. I took one look at that tweet, thought "It would take an unusually high level of stupidity for even a leftist to post such a thing," and dug a little. This article pretty much sums up what I found: Who is Erica Marsh? Unveiling the Controversial Twitter Account’s Truth "America is at that awkward stage. I wouldn't go too far down the road of holding up Malcolm-X as some soothsayer. While his statement about white liberals has been cherry-picked out of conversations, he was a major advocate of a segregated society, pushing for a "separate but not segregated society". His views clashed with King Jr, who was more interested in living-together, verses living separately.

No, Rep.Bowman, they are saying that anyone who has worked hard and accrued the proper preparation for college should be admitted. Any Black person who meets the standards would be allowed in (if they can pay, of course). flashguy Texan by choice, not accident of birth

Chuckle. Poor widdle things. Maybe one dusty copy of the US constitution at BU. “Students at the Boston University School of Law have been offered therapy to help them 'navigate these times' in the wake of three controversial Supreme Court rulings. The BU Law Student Government Association's statement was sent to law students on Friday denouncing three major Supreme Court decisions from this week. These concerned the court outlawing race as a factor in college admissions, quashing President Biden's loan forgiveness plan, and siding with a Christian graphic designer who refused to create a website for a same-sex wedding. In a letter, first obtained by Fox News, the student board began by slamming the Supreme Court's decision in the students admission case. According to Fox, it reads: '[The assenting judges] went so far as to say that the race-based admission system uses race as a negative and operates it as a stereotype.' …” DailyMail article: https://mol.im/a/12255533 Serious about crackers

https://www.powerlineblog.com/...rithmetic-either.php [A]ccording to the dissent by three progressive justices, using race in college admissions is the “only” way “possible” to somehow get rid of gaps between minorities and whites in “health, wealth, and well-being,” and blacks must be given a racial preference in college admissions until those gaps disappear. That claim ignores the fact that blacks were gradually closing the gap with whites before any affirmative action for blacks existed, indeed, at a faster rate than today. In their dissent, the three progressive justices made false claims about health disparities between blacks and whites, inaccurately claiming that black babies are much less likely to survive with a white physician In her dissenting opinion to the Supreme Court’s decision to strike down racial preferences in university admissions, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson managed to pull off a trifecta: She was factually incorrect in describing the results of a study that should not be believed, which wouldn’t provide practical support for her argument even if it were accurate and credible. *** Specifically, she wrote, “For high-risk black newborns, having a black physician more than doubles the likelihood that the baby will live, and not die.” That claim was taken from an amicus brief filed by the Association of American Medical Colleges, which in turn was referencing a study that appeared in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. First, the study does not claim to find a doubling in survival rates for black newborns who have a black attending doctor. Instead, in its most fully specified model, it reports that 99.6839% of black babies born with a black attending physician survived compared with 99.5549% of black babies born with white attending physicians, a difference of 0.129%. The survival rate of 99.6839% is not double 99.5549%. Not only has Justice Brown-Jackson not shown the ability needed to serve on the Supreme Court, her dissent in the UNC indicates that she fundamentally fails to understand her duties as a judge.
