Biden Flip-Flops Again In Abortion Quagmire; Now Supports Federal Funding Amazing he doesn't have whiplash... "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor

Biden has always been a Pandering Slime Ball and this is just a continuation of why no one should ever vote for him. Hopefully I have a better chance to sniff a leprechauns fart, than Biden (or any other democrat) has to become president!

I was more concerned by his ignorant comment that because of the Hyde Amendment, a woman's rights depend on her zip code and that abortion is a Constitutionally-protected right. It's a SCOTUS-invented right, mentioned nowhere in the Const., which, per the 10th Amendment, means it belongs to the states.

Fighting the good fight |
Joe's trying to set himself up as the "moderate" or "middle of the road" choice, and desperately attempting to set himself apart from the more radical/activist candidates in the Democrat pool in hopes of swaying some of the more centrist voters. But the result is bipolar issue whiplash, with him simply saying whatever he thinks the current crowd wants to hear, which merely serves to give folks the impression that he's a liar and/or he's spineless and doesn't really have a stance on any issue, neither of which is likely to win him any support. It's a problem that a number of candiates have historically run into when they try to appeal to everyone... They end up furiously tapdancing, backpedaling, and "clarifying", while not actually appealing to anyone. Dance, monkey, dance.

Biden has the moral flexibility you’d expect from a career politician. Say anything to get elected and more important get donations. Then, do whatever the hell you want once elected and start faking concern a year before next election. Rinse and repeat because Demonrat voters are too emotional to look at facts like voting records and kept promises. I'm thinking of changing my voter party to Dem so I can mess with their primary. It's the biggest impact I can have in my state, which always goes blue. Any drawbacks to doing so? .

The Memo: 2020 Democratic race enters do-or-die phase BY NIALL STANAGE - 07/29/19 06:00 AM EDT The Hill > https://thehill.com/homenews/c...ters-do-or-die-phase ========================================= ......"The race for the Democratic presidential nomination enters a new phase this week, with candidates desperate to make an impact in a second round of debates. The debates, which take place on Tuesday and Wednesday evening in Detroit, offer a last chance for some candidates to break out of the lower tiers in the field. "..... =========================================== Pop lots of Popcorn and tune in to CNN tonight for the next clown show. ....... ..."This week’s debates will inevitably be seen through the lens of the first clashes, which took place a month ago in Miami. Biden had a bad night in Magic City. Harris criticized him in forceful terms for his opposition to federally mandated school busing and for his sympathetic remarks about Southern segregationist senators of a previous era. In the aftermath, the California senator rose sharply in the polls and Biden drifted down. Biden has to do much better this time around, before anxiety among his supporters becomes a full-on panic. Democratic strategist Julie Roginsky, asked if she still considers the former vice president to be the leading candidate, replied, “Today. But I don’t know how many more debate performances where he is not hitting it out of the park he can absorb.” Biden aides have indicated that they will take a more aggressive line against attacks, however. The candidate himself seems to understand the stakes. “I’m not going to be as polite this time,” he told supporters at a fundraiser Wednesday.".......... .... *********************** * Diligentia Vis Celeritis * *********************** "Thus those skilled in war subdue the enemy's army without battle .... Off topic... Mr. HighZonie...could you please adjust your signature line? It gets very muddled in the things you post and I enjoy your posts. Simple place '[H R]' (without the apostrophe and space) right before *Diligentia Vis Celetitis*. When done correctly, you'll get the nice, formatted double line that separates your post from your signature. Thank you!!! [/drift] "If you’re a leader, you lead the way. Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel." - Isaiah 5:20,24

That is the scariest sentence in the article. God forbid the actual candidate not understand the stakes, yet we see it all the time with candidates who stand for nothing themselves and are simply a figurehead for the cause du jour. "The people hate the lizards and the lizards rule the people." "Odd," said Arthur, "I thought you said it was a democracy." "I did," said Ford, "it is." "So," said Arthur, hoping he wasn't sounding ridiculously obtuse, "why don't the people get rid of the lizards?" "It honestly doesn't occur to them. They've all got the vote, so they all pretty much assume that the government they've voted in more or less approximates the government they want." "You mean they actually vote for the lizards." "Oh yes," said Ford with a shrug, "of course." "But," said Arthur, going for the big one again, "why?" "Because if they didn't vote for a lizard, then the wrong lizard might get in."
