Here's an outrageous idea: Check your smoke detector batteries at least once a year? If you're still in a time zone that uses that verkakte DST stupidity: Check 'em each time you turn the clocks forward/back.

OK, I clicked.
You got me.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."
-- Justice Janice Rogers Brown

I don’t consider the title click bait.

Hmmm....

why do men get handsome with age and women don’t get prettier (excepting my wife of course) ?

How can we facilitate/instill intrinsic reward in the youth of today when it comes to skilled trades and work that might get their hands dirty?

How can I figure out how far I can lean my motorcycle into a curve - without dropping it?

How is it that I can give my students my “all” - share all knowledge and experience - and come away at the end of the day none the less?

Well shoot. Here I thought this thread was about one of my favorite music videos of the 80's. You know, back when MTV still played videos!

Ya know, as music videos with sexy women go, this one is actually pretty good.

If bullets were square, would we still call them "rounds"?

(ANS: Technically yes, but you would confuse people even more than they already are.)

I'd rather risk fire than to go anywhere near or in a Wal-Mart at 3am.

Fire I could handle, the battery low beep every 10 minutes, not so much. These are hard wired detectors so no just pulling the backup batteries out.

Yeah, you’d have to pull the batteries and switch off the correct circuit breaker...

Neither did I. I saw it as a request for people to post their "hmmmm" items.
