So tucked back in a closet at my mom's place, I find a couple of small, old looking cases (for lack of a better word). Turns out they contained tie clips, cuff links, etc. that belonged to my dad. A few of the items are kinda mysterious though. Can anyone shed some light on these..... I have seen that tiny knife somewhere... but I cannot remember if it was at a gunshow, on tv, or an antique shop. When we lived in Georgia, he had a private pilot's license. That makes sense. For some reason I thought it was AQPA. LOL _______________________________ The artist formerly known as AllenInWV

just a WAG, but there was a Cramond bridge http://www.visionofbritain.org.uk/place/22380 Cramond Bridge, a hamlet in Cramond parish, at the boundary between Edinburgh and Linlithgow shires, on the river Almond, and on the Queensferry highroad, 5 miles WNW of Edinburgh, and 1¼ mile SSW of Cramond village. It has a post office under Cramond, a good inn, and an eight-arched bridge, erected in 1823

Yup. Sort of like the NRA, but for aviation folks instead of gun people. I am no longer a member, but I originally joined back in 1964 or thereabouts. I had (maybe still have, someplace) a lapel pin / tie tack just like the one in your photo. הרחפת שלי מלאה בצלופחים

The knife is a fruit knife. Often with gold scales. The photo doesn't let me see the color very well. Unhappy ammo seeker

I did a web search on "Cramond 1823" and received some hits on a James Cramond and an Alexander Cramond, both born in 1823. It is apparently a Scottish name, and an area near Edinburg. Do you have any Cramond relatives, or ones from there? flashguy Texan by choice, not accident of birth

Since Cramond is an island near Edinburgh, I'll hazard the first item is a ferry token.

Small knives like the one shown were sometimes worn on pocket watch chains. End of Earth: 2 Miles Upper Peninsula: 4 Miles

They were used for battling extremely tiny people who could easily dodge a larger knife. Always choose the right tool for the job. God Bless and Protect the Once and Future President, Donald John Trump.

The small knifes scales are probably sterling silver- check for hallmarks. ____________________________________________________ The butcher with the sharpest knife has the warmest heart.

It does say "sterling" up by the hinge, between the two "blooms". _______________________________ The artist formerly known as AllenInWV

Good work! So, somebody turned them into cuff links. There are a bunch of different communion tokens on eBay, varying from $10-$50. No Cramond though.

Dad was a Presbyterian minister (and later a General Presbyterian) so it all makes sense. _______________________________ The artist formerly known as AllenInWV
