It has been 3 months in the making but I have my final interview with my best prospect on Tuesday.

I am currently in a very toxic work environment/company. When I started it was growing considerably and turnover was extremely low. Now we are bleeding talent faster than we can fill the positions. It's been on a two year decline due to extremely poor management and my current manager has tripled down on the micromanaging despite me being over goal the last three years. On top of that, I will make ~$15,000-20,000 less this year because they made every part of the comp. plan worse.

The great news is the new company is for a much larger sales role and a big career jump for me. I will get rid of my 2 hour daily commute to work and have more freedom. The new job will be working remote and covering the East Coast.

If you can send prayers or good thoughts my way I would really appreciate it. With my 2nd child things have been getting really tight and this would change that.

Thank you!

Best wishes to you!

I could have written those exact words last year before I retired. Well almost. Only thing is that I could not track how much I lost due to compensation "adjustments", compensation "tweaking", etc. Only thing I could pinpoint was that yearly my insurance coverage got more expensive, where the company previously contributed that was eliminated together with 401K contributions in 2009-2010.

You got it, friend.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

I've got a interview hints & tips sheet I give my candidates. Feel free to email me if you'd like a copy.

Most of it is common sense but there may be a gem in there for you. Good Luck!
