T-Mobile's on-line pricing isn't lucidly clear, but, then again, neither has been anybody else's when I've researched it. It helps if you know what you're looking for Assuming no discounts (military, over 55, etc.), I think it would cost you $150/mo. for Essentials, to $260/mo. for Magenta Max., for the seven lines. (Five lines plus two add-a-lines on each plan.) Those prices allegedly include taxes and surcharges. This is based upon the pricing information seen here Compare our unlimited cell phone plans and here Add a line to your account. Btw: It is, IMO, inexcusable that a CSR couldn't relate the above to you. It took me all of about five minutes to find it.This message has been edited. I finally got the momentum to get into a TM shop and talk to the guy. Our current bill is $216 all-in. He gave us his special "friends/family" 20% discount in his quote, and in the end, his price was within 3 dollars of our AT&T bill. But his included a 7th line for a watch (I'm planning to get the Apple Watch Ultra), so TM is really around $15/month cheaper apples-to-apples. I'm debating whether the pain of switching is worth it, mailing SIM cards off to college kids, etc etc. I probably won't. But I'm relieved to know I'm not being cleaned out by AT&T due to my lethargy in checking out TM. Again, the 24% discount makes a huge difference for us, and TM is still cheaper slightly. So for many/most, it sounds like it'd be really quite good.

We are switching to mint as soon as we can figure out how to change over our phones. I have android and wifey has iPhone. For how we use our phones, the porking we have been getting from verizon has to stop. ________,_____________________________ Guns don't kill people - Alec Baldwin kills people. Your AT&T /month is pretty good. I think your needed coverage should be the deciding factor with such a close cost. Where I live AT&T is king of coverage with Verizon being a close 2nd and TMO well far into 3rd. But we decided that saving 35%, VoFi that works all the time, and bumping to unlimited data was worth the loss of coverage. We never could get AT&T VoFi to work even when we bought phones they said it would work on, customer service was like yep it should work - sorry.

Thank you Very little |
Yeah but, from his post: I have AT&T. I have four (teen/adult) kids who are on my plan. Can say from experience, teens don't care about the bill or looking to be connected to wifi, they just connect when the urge hits. Without my daughter on the plan we could have used the minimum data plan for the wife and myself, similar use, lots of wifi, Teens? they are the data hogs of cell plans! r0gue, if you are 55+ you can get on that plan and it's significantly less than the standard T-Mobile rates, ATT probably has a 55+ plan as well. As for Mint, we used it for my daughter for a bit when moving plans around and needed a bridge service, she didn't complain about any issues.

Fully agree with those comments about kids. My then college age son was the big user on our plan and stayed on a plan with unlimited data, however my wife and I could easily convert to 4gb/month given how we use our phones. My real point here is, everyone gets caught up in the "Unlimited Data" advertising of all these carriers when the vast majority of people don't need unlimited data, and could save a fair amount of money by simply evaluating their monthly data usage and adjusting their plan(s) accordingly. I'd bet I pound on my phone as hard daily as anyone here, but because of my situation and monthly average cellular data usage, I was able to save a substantial amount of money by simply adjusting my plan to fit my 'real' needs. ----------------------------- Guns are awesome because they shoot solid lead freedom. I agree. I go on WiFi just about everywhere I go as it's free all over the place, including a Condo I rent for a couple of weeks a year. I use around 2Gb of data every month and that's it. I can't see paying for unlimited.

Teen Mobile Plan: You mow the lawn once a week, we'll put you on our mobile plan. Interestingly, I cant recall the last time I saw a teenager mowing the lawn in my town. I'm sure there are, I just never see it.

Before you do switch, shoot me an email and I'll send you a referral code for each of the lines you port over to Mint. If you use that referral code when you activate each line, you'll get a referral credit applied to your account for each of them. If you're switching, you might as well take advantage of the additional credits. ----------------------------- Guns are awesome because they shoot solid lead freedom.
