For those of you who have been around a while, you may remember my 2003 Honda Pilot. I had it from 2003-2018, it was the best car I ever owned. I put 335,000 miles on that car and really felt connected to it.

When the kids left, the Pilot was a third car we really no longer needed.

Original engine, tranny, A/C, exhaust.

I started driving our 2012 CRV, which we purchased in 2015. It was a really good car and today it passed 250,000 miles.

I have been watching the local market and this morning, two identical vehicles hit the market.

I was not going to hesitate, as I missed one the week before Christmas.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you my 2024 Honda Pilot.

I am like a kid on Christmas Day.

I hope I can drive this for 335,000 miles, like my first Pilot.

Congratulations. I hope it serves you very well. My wife had an 06 that we both really liked.

Congrats! I’ve always been a fan of those and Honda in general. Many people like to trade in their vehicles every couple years, but I’m like you in that I like to keep mine for the long haul.

I'm amazed you got 300k out of a 'glass' era transmission.
My 00 TL was on its 3rd in 225k miles.

Congrats on the new ride.

The 2024 is a handsome vehicle. Honda squared up the front end and it just looks better. Is it a hybrid P220?

Congrats Steve, I like the new Pilot. We bought a lightly used Highlander. It was time but the new Pilot was on my Radar. Hope you really enjoy it.

Nice ride!

I don't think I've driven 335,000mi in my entire life, certainly not on one car. My last car 28,000mi over 7 years, current one 28,000mi over almost five years.

So my 4,700mi average goes into 335,000 - 71 times.

Really nice!

We had the Pilot first yaer it was realeased, and we loved it. We were dummies trading it in to our string of luxary cars.

Also, I’ve been watching a lot of overlanding videos, lately, and Honda is out there trekking in some very inhospitable country with the best of them. Tour mileage monster is also proof of just how good Hondas are.

Looks good, Steve!

I'm on my third CR-V and have considered moving up to the Pilot. Maybe next time?

There's also the Passport if you don't want the full Pilot size.

Not a hybrid. V6 engine.

No, I do not do my own maintenance.

Put 175 miles on it today, going downtown and then to the OGCA show in Wilmington.

Really liking this Pilot.
