Looking for the best No Soliciting sign ...
Been searching online for the best "No Soliciting Sign" that covers the "typical" as well as the apparent "exempt" such as religion and political.

Want something that includes everything except for my UPS, Fedex and USPS deliveries.

I embrace any ideas no matter how inappropriate.

Thanks for any and all ideas ...

I have this one. I've been solicited less and the delivery people usually laugh.

I have this posted.

I have had a No Soliciting sign posted for much longer but the Warning sign does a better job.

I see many turn and leave before getting to the door.

Not one of these signs will deter anyone. Just don't answer your door. Hell, disconnect your doorbell. People you want to hear from know how to reach you. No one else should be able to reach you.

I agree ...

Don't have a doorbell, just an alarm dog. Have a long driveway ( 110 feet ) and would rather prevent from passing the first 20 feet ... and the reason a doormat will not work.

Finding a few ideas for a sign online, just trying to refine what best works. Thanks for the ideas, will share what I decide on.

I had a great one right next to my doorbell. They would tape business cards and flyers right next to it. It did slow down the doorbell somewhat, but in my old neighborhood I suspect a lot of solicitors can’t read English or can’t read at all…

You are surrounded by Glock, Ruger, Smith and Wesson. This is your last chance to turn around unharmed

They absolutely can read. The pros interpret a "no solicitors" sign as "I cannot say 'no' so I have to head them off at the pass." The amateurs see it as a challenge or they move on, in which case you never know they even saw it.

I run in-home appts. Sometimes I go to the wrong address, sometimes I can't read the handwriting on the card they mail in, asking me to contact them. Maybe once or twice in 1000 door knocks, no matter the signs or fence or dogs, etc. has someone said I should not be on their property. Most of the time they say, "What took you so long to contact me?" I have some ginormous customers from door knocking lead cards. And even plenty of those folks handed me guns to check once we established rapport and they knew I was a gun guy.

I can say no and do so right off the bat without them getting out more than a few words ... and sending them on their way. Just hoped a sign of some kind would get this message across before they got to my door.

Our "sign" is a 6ft no climb fence, with the front door inside the fence. There is a remote doorbell at the gate leading to the front door. A sign there says "Press here to release the hounds". Friends and neighbors usually call before coming over. No solicitor has ever pressed the doorbell.

The old ways are best. No need to advertise you own guns or send comedic messages. Verbally tell your delivery folks they are fine.
