Anova's are probably the best value of the sous vide circulators, very well priced. There is a common theme with the complaints revolving on the electronics crapping-out.

If you're looking for a second sous vide cooker to compare with, I use the Joule circulator.

Serious Eats Sous Vide 101 is a good place to read-up on and get receipes to try.

That’s a good deal. I bought mine two years ago for $199 and it’s served me very well. I bought another one earlier this year during Amazon’s Prime Day sale for $69...didn’t need another one but I couldn’t resist at that price.

From what I understand, the operation of this device is now fully dependent on an internet connection. MUST create an account with them before you do anything.

I have an older knock-off stand alone unit that is 700 watts circulating a fairly large water bath with NO problems at all.

Seems to me they may be clearing out this model as it is not very popular based on the many negative reviews I have seen on multiple sites. See the review by "George A Crossley"

The extra crap is just that-crap IMHO

You understand wrongly. Couldn't be easier to operate. Spin wheel to desired temperature, press play button. That's it. No apps, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or internet required.

Negative reviews, strange. It's one of the most popular brands on the market.
