Time flies. I lurked for quite some time before I joined as I wasn’t sure about this message board thing. SRA, who is mostly inactive, was the member who got me interested in SIGFORUM and SIGS in general. In 1994, just before the vote on the Clinton AWB, I was going back and forth between buying a SIG P228 or a GLOCK 19. I wasn’t so sure about the longevity of the “Tupperware” in a GLOCk so I went with the W. German P228. As you couldn’t find magazines anywhere for a decent price, I called SIG directly and ordered a dozen or so extra magazines. Interestingly, I still have 2 NIW 20 round magazines from that purchase in 1994. I also still have the P228 and it runs great since Chris O, one of our moderators, fixed it after SIG Sauer broke it after I sent it in for an Action Enhancement Package and night sights. The ironic thing is that today, I mostly shoot “Tupperware” guns - Beretta Nano and Walther PPQ M2. Anyway, thanks to Para, LBJ and the moderators for the best run forum on the internet.
