Having Lived and Worked in the City under part of his time in office, he's amongst the most successful and least corrupt public official to serve Wayne county for many decades. Also fairly Pro-gun. _________________________ An unarmed man can only flee from evil and evil is not overcome by fleeing from it. - Col Jeff Cooper NRA Life Member Long Live the Super Thirty-Eight

Pretty shocking to imagine a big urban city police chief running as a Republican these days, but I hope he does and wins.

I've seen him on Fox a number of times and he seems to have all of his ducks in a row. He'll make an excellent candidate. Jim ________________________ "If you can't be a good example, then you'll have to be a horrible warning" -Catherine Aird

I hope he runs and defeats the Evil Queen. We need a Governor with integrity here, something lacking with Whitmer. Also, strange that this article lauds Chief William Hart on being the longest lasting police chief in Detroit's history, the same William Hart who was sentenced to Federal prison for embezzlement of 2.5 million dollars from the secret "shush fund" of the DPD. -------------------------------------—————— ————————--Ignorance is a powerful tool if applied at the right time, even, usually, surpassing knowledge(E.J.Potter, A.K.A. I have also seen him on Fox News and agree that he appears to be a man with a good head on his shoulders. If he runs, I will likely contribute to his campaign. (Detroit is where I grew up, 1945-1960.) flashguy Texan by choice, not accident of birth

He was Chief in Cincinnati before Detroit. He is very very very pro 2nd Amendment and constantly encourages all those who can to carry. Not quite your typical big city Chief. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. If we got each other, and that's all we have. I will be your brother, and I'll hold your hand. I am all for the Chief. But as usual, big cities run Michigan politics to the detriment of the rest of the state. End of Earth: 2 Miles Upper Peninsula: 4 Miles

He'd have my support. I don't know that much about the man but I've always liked him. I'd see him often on local news being interviewed on the streets in the early morning hours when there were notable events happening. Dressed like a regular patrol cop with minimal accessories instead of looking like a third world despot. He always presented as a calm rational leader. I've always assumed he had the respect of those under him. Publicly telling Detroit citizens to arm themselves and defend themselves if they had to was refreshing to see. I think he (and that honeybadger of a prosecutor Kym Worthy) were the reason BLM never obtained a stronghold there. China is Asshoe

From what I've seen of Chief Craig I think he would be a good Governor. He would be WAAAAAAY better than what we have now, but that is not giving him any credit at all. His biggest obstacle will be a rigged election system being run by the person he's challenging. He has my support though as I think he is straight forward and tries to do what is right. With our current governor I'd support a piece of gas station sushi over her.
