We are usually deficient in one or more electrolytes. Magnesium, Potassium, and Sodium. Yep sodium. Potassium and sodium need to be in balance. Magnesium deficiency can make you feel terrible besides the cramps. I started taking an electrolyte supplement since I started a low carb diet. Im prone to a calf or hamstring cramp after over working myself in the yard. The one day I had a hamstring cramp and I thought this is how im going to die. It hurt so bad, I was basically paralyzed and could only lay on the floor to the point I had some difficulty breathing. It has to be related to dehydration, lack of electrolytes. | |||
