Well, I laughed over the title and the OP, BUT went to Publix this afternoon for some other stuff and wandered down the paper aisle to see if there was any on the shelf.

Guess what? Lots of Reynolds Wrap Aluminum
Foil but not a single carton of the non-stick (which, since I discovered it several years ago, is all we use).

So, since I was running a little low, back home and over to Amazon. Got two rolls so I should be good for a while.

Where the foil is in contact with another layer, that’s the “dull” side. The “shiny” side is the side milled without being in contact with another sheet of metal. The performance of the foil is the same, whichever side you use.

That really comes down to whether you'll be using it in daylight, under the sun, in Arizona, in July.

In that case, dull side, definitely.

Unless you like fried eggs.

Myself and everybody I know who is into smoking and grilling use Costco's Kirkland 18 inch wide by 500 feet long foil.

It lasts a long time (500' vs Reynolds typical 50'), it's thicker than grocery store stuff, and the 18" wide is far superior to regular 12" wide foil for:

wrapping

lining sheet pans. I align the 18" width with the length of the sheet pan.
