7 year old boy. --are you kidding me. There are few things I would go to jail for, but knocking the crap out of someone who hurts my child is on the short list. They'd have busted kneecaps had they done this to my 8 year old or my 12 year old, although the 12 year old would have beaten me to the punch, so to speak, which is fine too.

While I applaud the district attorney's office for NOT dismissing charges, like others across the county have, mandatory counseling and 40-hrs of community service results in getting their probation lifted ...isn't much punishment for a pair of adult women facing a handful of misdemeanor charges.

I get that their infamy will live with them forever, however, I would've expected some jail time, perhaps a longer length of probation and community service. What they recieved is essentially what shop-lifters get. They got off light.

Those two will now become heroes to the other ultra-left extremists, role models for their adoring fans to emulate, examples of how good and caring lefties are abused by a harsh judicial system. Probably a book deal in the works, speaking tours to spread the word on how to strike back at evil conservatives who abuse their children by forcing them to wear evil MAGA hats around in public to incite violence, talk show guests ad nauseum.

40 hours community service for a “hate crime” seems a little light. Theft, child endangerment, and hate crimes? If they were male, getting the snot knocked out of them would seem to have been more appropriate.

While my sexist attitude has issues with raising a hand to a woman, forty hours of community service seems insufficient.

What the OP posted is some of the good news happening that gets ignored on the 6:00 parade of veneering over our current circumstances. There are plenty of convictions, indictments, and investigations ongoing. If your source of news didn't give you the story of these two women assaulting a small boy - you aren't getting the real news.

Time to start looking around and seeing if you can get out of the lockstep presentation - you know, when you spin the dial in the first minute of the national news and they ALL have the same stories? It didn't used to be that way. 40 years ago there were over 400 separate organizations presenting the news. Now their are 6 large corporations, which own 87% of the broadcast media, press, online news, blogs, etc.

If that is news to some, then it goes to not having a source giving you all the important news. Can you name a recent conviction of a celebrity who arranged a fake hate crime? A child trafficker found guilty on charges of procuring children to the rich and famous?

If this is news, then waiting to hear about it here is a bit late in the game.

What I didn’t see are the terms of the probation. Sounds like they got off relatively scott-free. Even with a “conviction”, as said, community service is a joke.

time for boy's family to pursue civil suit, which should be easier to win with criminal convictions.

There should have been a monetary fine, if they didn't serve jail time.
$2,500 each seems a good amount, plus the 40 hrs service time.

And each got a big kick in the ass !

I would have required them to wear MAGA hats for their entire time doing community service.

And, MOST OF ALL, no one cancelled their asses or harangued their employers to fire them.

They were arrested, fingerprinted, mug-shot, and for an entire year, they faced the real possibility of jail time. Their names shall be forever tied to the terrorizing and assault of a seven year old child. Stop and think about it. That is not a walk in the park.
