Non-stop from Hong Kong to Chicago, about 15 hours. I'd like to sleep but I'm not
tired. We just wrapped up a three-week Viking tour of China, had a great time. I'd post pictures of the usual tourist sites but I have not found a replacement for Photobucket.

Not sure how much sleep I'll get, we're 5 hours into the flight. I got a good rest last night and I've been up about 11 hours. I've already watched two movies (Plus four on the flight here), so my choices are limited. The plane is 1/3 full, lots of room and short lines for the bathrooms.

This is the first time I've bought the Wi-Fi, it was 1700 miles or $27. I've also got Tom Clancy/Mark Greaney's "Commander in Chief," so I have things to do. I'll try to get a little sleep later. It's no big deal if I get home tired, being retired gives me lots of spare time.

Oh yeah, there's a SCREAMING toddler several rows away. On the bright side, my earphones work fairly well. After four hours I hope it's his nap time soon.

We'll be using Global Entry for the first time at ORD. I'll post an update to my thread of two months ago.

United 896. The map shows us over the water south of Anchorage. I feel better now that we're closer to land.

On the other hand it's the perfect excuse to get offline for awhile.

Are you saying there's a history of Vikings in China?

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

There's a comedian on every forum. Smile

For those of you in Rio Linda: The company name is Viking. It's not a football team, they do cruises and cruise tours all over the world.
Here's what we just did:

And here are some for Viking wannabees who wish to pillage and plunder:
