I've always sautéed mushrooms in EVOO and/or herbed butter. But it occurred to me that tahini might be good with mushrooms, so yesterday I tried that. 5-1/4 oz of Hen of the Woods (AKA maitakes) mushrooms in EVOO and 1/2 oz tahini (which has a fair amount of oil). It was good! I'll do this again. Serious about crackers | ||

All kinds of stuff is good on mushrooms. Miso works well. Wine or balsamic vinegar reduction, too. I had dinner the other day at a very fancy restaurant for my mother-in-law's birthday. They had sauteed mushrooms glazed in the restaurant's steak sauce. Pretty good. | |||
