I have 2 emails that are @Frontier. However we switched to Comcast several years ago. I was allowed to keep the old email addresses. For the last several days, my emails are coming in on my phone, but not my desktop. There it just says"can't connect". I have talked to Frontier and was told "others are having the same problem." I am not sure if I believe them. Any suggestions?

I had internet/email service through Frontier for years, then it became Fios but still kept working. A year ago I moved and now have a different provider, but my frontier.com email still works. I seldom use it, but it's still there (just logged into it a minute ago to verify).

Logging in sometimes fixes a similar issue that I have off and on, or ignoring it for a few days, or re-booting the desktop.

What client are you using on the PC? Maybe some recent update/change to the client and/or the server at Frontier may have upset the connection.

If I understand your question, I am using Mail which is provided by Apple.

I would check settings in Mail with the phone and desktop and confirm they are the same, both have been recently updated? not sure what has been done already.

You are able to log into Frontier webmail which means your account is active and the login credentials are good. The problem is with your PC mail client. Verify which email stetting Frontier support. Back up your local emails, nuke the settings, then reenter the setting, now test. Keep in mine when you are testing that most email service providers will lock you out for frequent requests for X amount of time before the access resets.

I don't know what I did, but this afternoon, all of the mails showed up on the desk top. Thanks for your help.

My grandfathered frontier account quit downloading to my Outlook several days ago. I got tired of resetting the errors and just blew it away. Nobody sends anything to that account anyway.

Stop using pc based email clients, and sign up with a secure, web-based email provider. It will be fast, easy, secure (and by definition, clean of malware attachments and unverifiable links), and you can use the web based interface from any device. Problem solved. I screwed around with various fat client pc mail systems, and I got tired of messing with them and tweaking them back into submission. Lover of the US Constitution Wile E.
