SIG4EVAMint Mobile
I've had Verizon since I've had a phone, but even with an old shared 4GB plan, we are paying $98 a month for 2 lines while owning our phones. I took the plunge on Mint, and I was curious if anybody else uses it. Prepaid doesn't bother me and really, makes it easier to manage paying up front since the cost is so much less. At 10GB each, we would save over $600 vs. Verizon.

RipleyWe jumped from Verizon to Mint over a year ago and yeah, big savings. I have no experience with any other low price providers but Mint has worked fine. I've called their tech support a couple times and they were eager to please. For some reason, I trust Ryan Reynolds to protect his name and put out a good product. I hope no one chimes in with stupid political blather from RR I've not heard.

bryan11Our son has been using US Mobile while Brecaidra and I still with prepaid Verizon. Whenever I test speeds they're about the same. In the next few weeks we'll likely move as well. There doesn't seem to be any benefit of paying extra to stay with Verizon.

bigdealBeen on Mint for the last three months and just re-upped for the next 12 months. So far its been flawless for me at ~$17/month for 4gb of data. Just don't think you can beat it.

ThankGod4SigI’ve had it for about a year. Some coverage issues mostly in rural areas. Internet speed is slower but not real bad.
I recommend it to people.

Check out Visible Wireless if you prefer Verizon's network. You can have 4 Unlimited lines for $100/month.

Interesting. I was on T-Mobile before shifting to Mint and I've noticed no differences at all...other than pricing.

Similar here. I've been on Mint for nearly a year, a different Tmo MVNO for about 3 years before that, and before that Tmo directly. Haven't noticed much difference in the service other than various bundled stuff I didn't want and never used.
Price is great, service is great as the network is very good in the places I actually go. Their app is useful and they've never screwed up my billing.

bubbatimeI went to Xfinity wireless, which uses Verizon towers. Three iPhones on the plan. I pay $45 a month for unlimited everything on my phone, and my two kids only use their phones on the WiFi and dont use data, so both of their phones only cost about $12 total. So about $60 a month for phone service for 3 phones, on the Verizon network. Cant beat that with a stick...

We have 3 lines on the Visible service. Pretty happy so far; about 9 or 10 months. My understanding is that Visible is a wholly owned sub company of Verizon.
The only thing I'm not crazy about is there is no service desk to phone. It all has to be done via chat on a web browser or phone. But so far, so good.

Which was exactly my point.

Same network, same service, much lower cost.
The concern for customers considering these MVNO's, and a selling point the majors exploit all the time, is that your data can be slowed if their network is busy (i.e. prioritization of say T-Mobile customers over Mint customers). The reality, they can do that to their own customers as well (with few exceptions) as the need arises. So far I've never seen my data slowed (aside from normal traffic) in the time I've been on Mint.

TexasScrubI've been on Mint for a while. Just re-upped for $240 for the year ($20/month) for 10gigs. Its actually faster than my old ATT, and it has much better coverage in my small town. The only drawback is that you have to own the phone, and so many folks get tied into purchase contracts with the big guys.
I highly recommend!

Solution for owning the phone....buy directly from Samsung or Apple. Both offer financing deals on new phones if you don't have the coin to buy it outright. Going that route means you can transfer between networks at will given the network company doesn't own or control the phone. That's how I bought my new Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G before I moved to Mint from T-Mobile.

^^^ This is a really good point. If you buy a phone from Verizon, TMobile, or others and they finance it you can't leave without paying off the phone completely. It's the same if you buy from Costco or Best Buy but have Verizon or another mobile provider finance it. You're stuck.

MRMATTJust tried to install Mint on my wife's cellphone. No Network connection. Mint is sending out a new sim card, but she'll be without service for 3-5 business days.
