But it's a dry heat, as they say.

It was great weather there in March last year. Rained a little on the night of arrival. But super nice the rest of the time. My son and wife have a place next to a golf course on the southwest.

I lived in the Sonoran Desert for several years, and graduated from UofA in Tucson. For me, it wasn’t the heat so much as the length of time it stays hot. When it was well past Labor Day and still over 100°, that’s what would wear me down. Otherwise, there are many things I love about the desert.

I am in Dewey and know Rey. I think this region is sort of Goldilocks with the weather. We did have an unusually hot summer 2024, but typically rarely gets to triple digits for a high, and just enough cold winter days and a few snowfalls that rarely amount to anything. No blistering heat like Phoenix or Tucson

The thing more concerning for me about Tucson is it is one of the few staunchly blue leftist democrat strongholds in AZ, and with that comes the usual consequences- a higher than average number of trashy sketchy areas, increased crime, progressive agenda garbage.
Proximity to the border can be a problem, but I imagine that should improve soon.
