HVAC experts, clogged drain line

Interesting discussion. We had a new unit put in two years ago. The installer recommended against bleach, and suggested vinegar.

It really makes absolutely no difference in effort to me to do bleach or vinegar, i have both on hand and I'm applying them the same way.

But I've learned here that when it comes to HVAC Excam_Man knows what he speaks of and thats enough for me. (or, why learn it myself when I've got a guy

)

So its vinegar for my system.

ETA: Excam_Man, thanks for sharing your expertise here. I've seen you walk people through detailed troubleshooting on their systems and its pretty awesome.
