gpbst3Outdoor garbage can that is bug resistance
Is there such a thing. I put the kitchen trash which contained raw chicken scraps outside because of the odor. Well when trash day came I opened the can and it was filled with maggots.
I usually just take a stinky bag to work and throw it away in the dumpster.
Is there anything that will work at home?

arfmelWas the kitchen garbage in a plastic trash bag that was securely tied shut? That method works for me. If maggots hatch in there I don't see them.

FN in MTWe have issues (in the Summer/Fall) with bears getting into the garbage...especially with rotting/stinky stuff. Solved the issue by keeping a small plastic sack in the outside freezer. Chicken, meat , etc....goes in there...until a garbage run. NO smell....NO bugs, no bears, no raccoons, no skunks.

Wrap the strings around the top of the bag and tie them tight.
