FN in MTAny Bend, OR members? Need Range info.
Headed to the Sunriver resort outside of Bend, on a Family reunion deal in a week. Will be there a full week.
I shot a 1K long range rifle course on steel at a big Range outside of Bend 5 or 6 years back. Forget the name, outside of Bend by maybe 20 miles? We camped so forgot how far exactly from Bend. Anyone know the range?
Private or can a guy pay a fee and shoot some rifle?
Any other sights you'd recommend in the area? Any decent gun shops?
Thank You in advance.

FN in MTA search shows the Central Oregon shooting sports facility...I think that must be the one. Annual membership $145. NO daily fee shown.

Expert308 https://www.cossapark.com/ Never shot there, but I know it exists. There's a master Highpower schedule listing all the matches in the state that comes out every spring, and COSSA is always on it.

Joe123Yes, FN in MT is right. COSSA is about 20 miles East out of Bend on hwy20. Check there web sight for event dates and for contact info. They do show a five dollar daily fee, but make sure it allows you to shoot on the range that you want. I have not shot there, but a good friend of mine does, really likes it.

highroundcountYes. The range off of Highway 20 heading east to the left is the one I have heard about. It's been almost 20 years since I've been out there as I usually just stagger out into the woods east of town to shoot.
Also heard of a shotgun range in Redmond. Not sure if they are still open.
Lost Creek Armory off of north 3rd street in Bend, east end of the old ShopKo building next to the military recruiting shop. Ran by a couple really nice guys. Smaller in size but no commandos working there.
Call before you go as they vary on hours sometimes.

FishOnThe COSSA range is fantastic. Go for a hike over Smith Rock. It is really cool. Take a day trip to Camp Sherman and walk along the Metolius River. Also check out the fish hatchery for monster trout in the pond. Stop at Sisters for ice cream. Take the ski gondola to the summit of Mt Bachelor then walk down. It is gorgeous up there. Amazing views. You can drive to Batchelor easily up the back road from Sun River.

slyguyGreat bike trails all around where you are staying. Get yourself a floaty and hit the Deshutes from downtown - ride the bus back. Drive up to Elk lake and do some paddle boarding. Paulina lake obsidian fields - wear good shoes.
Lot's of area East of Bend to get out and shoot, just check in with the local Forest service for access and conditions.
Cheers~
