This doesn't show the additional gear I have for Alaska salmon fishing..or the 10-12 extra rods already on the boat.
How much gear have you got? I think I might need to thin the herd a bit.

c1steveI have a smallish salt water boat, but really need a larger boat just to hold the rods. I have about 12 tuna rods/reels that cost an average of $1,000 each. Probably have another $2,000 in tuna lures.

sredingI don't even want to add up all of my gear freshwater gear. I primarily fish muskies and walleye. Musky lures start at $25 each and go up from there. I easily have 500 lures (some I have a couple dozen of just in different colors) My cheap rod/reel combos are $600 each. The ridiculous thing is that I'll use the same couple baits nearly every time I go out and yet I fill the boat with tackle each time 'just in case'. Its bad, but at least I spend over 50 days a year out on the boat, which is pretty good considering our season is about 8 months here in MN.
I reject your reality and substitute my own.

ArtieSYour garage is clean. Too clean. That is simply wrong.

doublesharpQuantum 381 cranking reel magnum gears and slow retrieve. Great spooled w 30/40lb braid for yanking Okeechobee bass out of heavy cover fishing with wild shiners. I guided out of Moore Haven Fl for several years late 80s/early 90s and this was the reel of choice by many. Long discontinued, I bought many on Ebay just because I like em.

Green HighlanderI have at least 11 fly rods, ranging from a .5wt 5 footer up to a 10/11wt two hand switch rod for stripers and salmon. I'm usually running a 4wt for fresh and a 7 or 8 wt for stripers.
I also tie my own flies and have enough materials that I could tie every day for the rest of my life and still have plenty left over for the estate sale.
I also have 4 spinning set ups that don't see much action since I took up flyfishing.

lymanI have a Gheenoe on a trailer, and about 15 rods, (3 are fly) but I use mostly spinners,
cannot cast a baitcaster for shit,
one decent size tackle box, and one for the spill over crap I rarely use,
did an estate many years ago, and the customer called me back to look at his fishing gear (he was terminal, wanted it all gone before his sell by date)
he had Mitchell spinners, from the 50's and 60's, and a few baitcasters, that he used when he was a kid, they belonged to his father, who had OCD apparently
he told me each fishing ended with them taking the reels off the rods, every thing cleaned to a like new finish, then the reels were put in a home made cotton sack, then in the original box,
rods stored seperately
