Got the Unlimited (2005) back from having suspension work/tires replaced. Two things... 1) Swapped out the stock fog lights for some 'plug n' play' KC 55W lights. Now I blow the 20A fuse every time I turn the fog lights on. Ideas? 2) So apparently replacing the faded plastic fender trim is not just a matter of unscrewing a few bolts and swapping them out. How in the hell do I get these @#$%ing things off!!!! _______________________________ The artist formerly known as AllenInWV

I think you need a relay for the lights. The fender flares may have double stick tape in addition to the bolts holding them on. Try some dental floss worked between the plastic and the fender, used like a cable saw, to remove them.

Check the wiring for the lights. Might have a wire exposed. I've had that happen in other lighting kits. Did the stock lights work before the swap? Semper Fidelis

I think there are like sleeves or somesuch inside the panels that they screw in to. A couple of the screws come right out, others just spin. The replacement panels came with sleeve looking things. I'll try to get a pic tomorrow. The lights are supposed to be direct replacements, no relay, just plug in. Same wattage and all. I'm going to put in the stock ones again and see what happens. If they work, a post on the TJ forum said to plug one of the new lights in at a time into the passenger side harness and see if it works. If not, the wires on the new light could be reversed?? Someone here once told me Jeep stood for "Just empty every pocket". LOL _______________________________ The artist formerly known as AllenInWV
