Originally I was planning on a 30'x60' with an additional covered portion about 30' long on the back as a patio. Think the wife has already changed her mind and we may be doing a regular garage and separate storage. Quite a bit of good info nonetheless and I appreciate every bit of it. Still got some figuring to do.

good sized "shop/garage/man cave" type building

glad my wife realized this was part of our place that was mostly my space so I designed and for the most part constructed a lot of it. She did help some. But had little say what is was going to be. She obviously knew what is was going to cost.
If she want to decide what to build I would of found another women. Wink

The in-laws have 2 Morton’s on their property both are great.
If you ignore them for a while after they give you a quote they usually come back and knock some off the price.

I would suggest looking into a mini split.
Father in law put a mini split in one and of course it heats, cools, and dehumidifies.

They are quite economical and install is easy as pie in a metal building.
