New Ford Bronco
Is this a close representation of what the new Bronco will be like? Kinda cool looking with fair hinting at the original....but, I don't know, still taking it all in..

I’m not exactly thrilled with the prospect of buying a Jeep (Chrysler product) but sadly I don’t see anything else that checks all my boxes.
Don't lament the move to FCA. FCA is doing some really great stuff with their vehicles. I've driven a couple 2019 RAM 1500's so far and they are a huge improvement over previous RAM offerings and a far better interior package and ride quality than any truck manufacturer out there. Barring any new developments, my next truck will likely be a RAM 1500 (or 2500 diesel if I hit the lottery jackpot Smile).

FCA is crap. I’ve got family that works for them. I hear all kinds of stuff from them. Most of it bad. I would go with a Garbage Motors truck before Ram.

I bought my 2015 Cherokee Trailhawk only because FCA was still selling the unlimited miles/lifetime MaxCare warranty at the time. I now have 175K miles on it and the warranty has MORE than paid for itself.

Since FCA no longer offers the unlimited miles/lifetime MaxCare warranty, I won’t even look at another FCA product. I can’t afford to fix as much as has been replaced on my Cherokee.

I had high hopes that the Bronco would be a viable replacement in another few years. Still hoping that they’ll have it all figured out a couple of model years from now.

I know where to find one just like this. But the guy was buried in it. The entire thing is 12' under.

This along with rumors of a 7-speed manual transmission is VERY promising.

If these leaked photos are real Ford might be making a proper Bronco. I was reading a 7 speed manual might be available too.

Same, will be interesting to see the pricing. If they get close to nailing this, I suspect there will be 6-8 months of dealer mark ups. I’m willing to wait.

Ford doesn't want the public to see the 2021 Bronco until later this month, so it can't be thrilled that someone snagged photos of an un-camouflaged Bronco in a company facility and shared them to the Bronco6g forum on Thursday evening.

Or do they????
Most of the time I think these leaks are planned. Much like when Apple prototypes get accidentally left places for people to find.

A little more difficult to just leave a vehicle somewhere.

I am also guessing the steelies are just for rolling around the facility before the actual wheels are on.

We’ll just wait some more.

KEEP IT SIMPLE FORD!!!!
4wd, lockers, manual transfer case, manual transmission. That is it and that is all! Don’t make us buy stupid technology packages jacking up the price.
No infotainment system. Just a simple double din unit that can be swapped out for any double din unit without a million special harnesses.

If you want those packages to be available fine. But offer a true stripped down base model!!

Not mine. I've been yanked around for waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too long on this vehicle, so much so I don't give a damn about it anymore. Way to go Ford! If its built with the same care Ford gave the Ranger it will spend most of its life in a service department having recalls addressed.

I’d take a manual Ford Bronco with retro styling (which is looking more and more likely) over a Jeep Wrangler. I think a lot of people would.

The tires look like something you would see on a crossover. It also has an independent front suspension. I doubt it will compete with the Rubicon and will be more of a weekender vehicle.

Where are you getting the IFS info?

Solid words of gold right there!!! This shouldn't be advice for just Ford, but for any manufacturer rolling out a new retro 4WD/ AWD ride of a legacy model.

I followed the Toyota FJ retro roll-out from concept to inception, and while the release version wasn't terrible, it increasingly strayed from the initial stripped down concept. I so hope Ford doesn't make the same mistake with the Bronco roll out.

There is a pic of the new Bronco off roading with the front suspension exposed and you can see the independent front suspension.

Ugh... Not saying it's a deal breaker, but that's a bummer.

Realize we’re talking full size Bronco in this thread, but link here to leaked photos of the “Baby” Bronco Sport. Not on the same level with the full-size, but might not be too bad for anyone looking for a small SUV that doesn’t look too car-like.

Looks like a close copy of the Land Rover Discovery.

You all might consider that if the 'Baby' Bronco looks like this sitting on IFS, then Ford has built yet another turd that's not going to do anything to bolster Ford sales.

And if they're that stupid with the little Bronco, how much hope do you really have that they'll get the big Bronco right?

I've gone from only driving Ford's for most of the past 25 years, to wondering if I'll ever buy another one. This Bronco BS isn't helping change my mind.
