I’m happy for you. 2016 after the election, I was at lunch with my boss and another director. I was less than 3 months at the company. They wanted to know if I voted and who I voted for. I said of course, I voted. Several times even. They asked me several more times but I didn’t answer. I know they figured from my non answer I voted for Trump. As if my voting for Trump in CA mattered. Even apart from that, the boss turned out to be an asshole. I quit without a job lined up in February. I used to wear an O'Neil surf shirt with a "Thin Blue Line" flag pattern on the back. After the folks in Sonoma County, CA swallowed the "Hate the Cops" propaganda, I was verbally shamed for wearing it in public. It's been hanging in my closet for years because it just wasn't worth the scorn to wear it. This morning, I came close to having the courage to dust it off & don the lonely garment. Tonight I wore it to my local sports bar. I got multiple like your hat comments. It was a positive conversation starter at the bar top with random people. I only got one semi negative reaction from a lady that I have known for years. She physically jerked back a little bit when she saw it and said “wow, that’s big”. I told her yup, it’s loud and proud.
