Reactions to my MAGA hat in California SF Bay Area.
I have had to tamp down my MAGA support over the years living in the Bay Area.

I have been verbally harassed over the years by the crazy liberal crowd from time to time.

I bought a MAGA hat and said screw it. I’m not going to hide my support for President Trump anymore.

I have been wearing it out lately and have gotten nothing but compliments! I drew a little bit of a happy crowd yesterday at the local hardware store.

Here’s MAGA Dug modeling it.

Happy times are here again…

Way to be proud! My buddy that still lives in Livermore said they have had some trump truck parades.

Working in SF all those years I was so deep in the closet for fear of my career and when I’d meet somebody in the office who would make an offhand comment we’d give each other the secret handshake.

Where I live now I see trump flags and hats and house decorations id do a double take when I see a hairy balls sign

Keep giving them hell and get rid of fang fangs boyfriend.

The closer you venture into the metro areas, the more you're rolling the dice that an unhinged fool who's off their meds or, doesn't care about consequences will do something to you or, your property. Further away, the more friendly and moderate things are. Around the Bay Area, generally North Bay and far-end South Bay things are quietly conservative, everybody goes about their day, no advertising but, everyone knows. Living behind enemy lines builds character.
PR64 aren't you up in Placer Co?

No

I’m in Pleasanton. East Bay.

It’s a nice place and I would say it’s a 60-40 mix of moderate conservative politics.

I live across the street from a high school and don’t fly a Trump flag because too many stupid kids go past my house everyday.

MAGA!

We are nearby for Thanksgiving, Livermore, with our daughter and son-in-law. Flew into SF this morning.

Welcome to California.

I grew up in Livermore.

There’s a bunch of wineries there if you’re interested in wine tasting. Way different from when I was growing up there.

The Tri Valley is a nice place and it’s far enough away from SF and Oakland to be safe.

Livermore and Pleasanton both have nice little downtowns with restaurants and shops…

Enjoy your stay. You won’t be in crazyville.

The Livermore Pleasanton gun range is out on north Livermore Road and is a decent clean place if you have time to go shooting with family.

If they are not into it, I will go there with you if you’re interested…

I went there with ElToro years ago.

There is a surprising amount of support for Trump that seems to have been subdued by an overzealous opposition that, now that Trump has won and all can see his popularity, has ebbed to the margins. Now we can be out and proud.

As the maps have shown, a great majority of the land mass of California is red; however, they're not as densely populated as the blue areas along the coast. It's not difficult to understand you'd see support for Trump outside of the San Francisco Bay Area or Los Angeles.

Heck, even where I live, there are quite a few Trump supporters and this town is ridiculously blue. I even received a Trump challenge coin from one of my customers while I was delivering to their home.

Unfortunately in Alameda County, congratulations for recalling Pam Price...that bitch exemplifies how one small part of the county can drag the entire county down; feel for you guys. Hopefully some level of normalcy can return.

We live in San Diego, which has gone from red to purple to maybe light blue over the past 6 years.
But we are renting a house in El Dorado Hills, just east of Folsom. This area and El Dorado County to the east, and most of Placer County to the north, are majority Republican, with GOP congressmen (Kevin Kiley, Tom McClintock); low-crime, friendly people. I wore a "Make Orwell Fiction Again" T-shirt and got several positive comments. One was from an Asian lady driving out of the library parking lot; screeched on the brakes and said "I want one of those!"

More comfortable than our overeducated SD suburb where conservatives keep to themselves.

Hey PR64. I'm up in Concord.

If you drive through out city there are lots and lots of Trump flags around here.

I also noticed a boat load of "Common Sense Democrats for Trump" signs around here this year.

I am thoroughly convinced after Newsom was re-elected and a couple of very unpopular ballot measures "passed" by a razor thing that our electoral process in this state is compromised.

No voter ID. No signature verifications.

Hmmm, it's like it was setup to cheat...

I'm convinced that most of California is much more red than the media and our politicians would lead the world to believe.

I saw a comment on Facebook, just after the election, some liberal beta dude, saying he went looking for “magats” at the San Ramon farmer’s market, but didn’t see any. I need to get myself a Trump hat, and head over there, and hope he’s there too!

Yep, the Dems have been stealing elections here for many years. 60% of the population voted that stealing less than $950 is a misdemeanor? No way, probably 10% would vote that way. Numerous other laws are put of the books that no sane person would vote for. Maxine Waters won 80% of the vote in her district? More likely she paid for "election insurance".

Right now the Dems are "curing" ballots and two US representative seats that Republicans had won. After curing these ballots, 90% went to the Dems. I know someone who used to do this years ago. She said they would add marks to some ballots, where those ballots were then thrown out.
