I am a contributor to the Miata forum. Haven’t owned a Miata in years. (Fantastic car by the way) but that doesn’t matter. Have a question about a Porsche or maybe a Civic or maybe a Ferrari, hell a Ford F-150.... somebody will have an answer.
This place is similar. Doesn’t matter if you bleed Sig Sauer or have a question about an HK or Ruger or Charter Arma or Glock. Somebody is there to give you an answer. Doesn’t matter if you have left SIG for something different or coming back to the brand. Hell doesn’t matter if you don’t own SIG one, there are still a myriad of knowledgeable folks willing to provide insight.
Hell there is a better Glock thread here then GlockTalk but I digress.
At any rate thanks for making “SIG” Forum an agnostic home for firearms in general.

EdmondOne day I'm going to ask a question that no one will have the answer to. Lol. Might or might not be firearm related.

Rey HRHI complimented someone and Sigforum in a thread about DNA today. Sure enough, there's a DNA expert in the forum who posted about more scientific DNA testing vendors.
"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

StormThis is one of the reasons I ended up at this forum and stayed here. I used to be a very active member of another brand oriented firearms forum. However, that forum had no General Discussion forum/"Lounge" and you weren't allowed to talk about anything non-brand/non-firearms. I got tired of it, and ended up spending more and more time here and less there.
While I still have a membership at that other forum, I only visit once or twice every year or so, and only when I need to get some info.

ArLEOretI consider the forum as a sort of big brain or brain trust. Everything from medicine to guns to life and politics. It’s sort of a Mensa totality. Any way if you have a question you will get an answer. It’s a wonderful brotherhood.

Yup, I had the exact same reaction on that forum after it changed hands. This is a great forum, doesn't get much better.

JohnDFWI agree with the comments cslinger made in his opening post.
I don't post on here much but stop by several times a day just to see what's going on. I almost always learn something. And the few times I have posted a question I've received several good, insightful answers. I've often mentioned to my wife the wide range of knowledge represented by members on this board. On a few occasions when she has asked me about something if I don't know the answer she'll comment "Why don't you ask your friends at the Sig place."
Love to come here and just cruise around.

I think you got it bass-ackward.
Edmond was looking for a question that no one has the answer to.
You gave him an answer that no one has the question to.

ronin11I am a member of 4 other Forums, all good in their own right. I'm not much of a poster, as you can tell...but was I ever shortchanging myself here by 'only' going to the SIG Pistol, CCW Methods & Issues, the Classifieds & the SIG Armorer sub-sections.
I wandered into THE Lounge & What's your deal! sub-sections and now spend more time in the latter than the former.
Almost everyone has expanded my horizons and knowledge. Superb site.

OK I have one. Why can I randomly miss the low 6 on the skeet field but consistently hit it on the option (second try)? I must journey to ask the Dali Lama
