I've used PIA for the last couple of years. Used to use windscribe. PIA has been a drastic improvement.

I used the Norton for years but for the last year and a half I'm on Express VPN. Easy to use, they have updates frequently which are easy to upgrade to. I've got it on my desktop, laptops, iPad and iPhone. Could not be happier.

I use Pure VPN after switching from Nord VPN which I tried for 2 months.

Right now, they have a deal for 27 months for $48. I paid $69 for 5 years.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." It depends on what you need it for.

When I need a VPN which is not often, I fire up Opera, a free browser with a free VPN built-in.

It says I am now in Sweden, last time it was Azerbaijan.

I can also set it to be in the US.

I have Dashlane password manager, and one of the perks is they give you a VPN. Can't say it's the best, and can't say it's a POS. I only turn it on when I'm away from my home network which has it's own security. If you don't have a password manager, Dashlane is top tier.

Your own private VPN using a virtual server and Wireguard Big Grin

But I only use mine for certain kinds of testing and for when I'm using a mobile device (phone, tablet) to access something sensitive and I'm connected to an insecure WiFi network, or when I'm on a WiFi network that blocks certain sites.

You'll probably run into a few sites that block some of PIA's IP addresses. I would test it out before buying a 1 or 2 year subscription.

This is true with Express VPN, a lot of sites I have to access with the VPN off.

This is the reason I ditched PIA after many years. It seemed like half the sites I tried to go to blocked access. Switched to Proton VPN (same people as Proton mail) been good so far.

I use Bitdefender Antivirus. It comes with a limited amout on free VPN use (200 MB per day maybe). It opens a separate non-chrome browser for extra security when it detects you are visiting a financial website. It worked so well that I bought the unlimited version. Quite reasonably priced I thought.

Basic subscription gets you a license for devices. It connects quickly and doesnt seem to slow down my fast internet connection. Ive only found 1 or 2 websites that think I'm in a foreign country and I have to manually change it to US. If I leave the computer (Lenovo -win 10) unused for a while it will disconnect and I have to reconnect it. It works on my Samsung tablet but not as well.

I use FastestVPN and GooseVPN and somehow Xfinity can see inside my tunnel. How can they see a torrent I am downloading?

I’ve used ExpressVPN for the last decade.

Just looking at a tech review of Fastestvpn they mention this under the security section:

“Sadly, even with these security features, FastestVPN doesn’t guarantee top-notch digital security. Our rigorous DNS leak tests revealed that most of its servers have IP and DNS leaks.

This means that even when the VPN is connected, DNS data could leak out and your ISP, government or malicious snoopers could see where you go online. This defeats the purpose of the VPN, and until FastestVPN fixes its DNS and IP leaks, we can’t recommend using the service.”

That may be your issue. If most of their servers leak info, they aren’t worth what they are pretending to be selling.
