Super glad you had a happy ending!

I have beagles and if they get out, their nose can carry them miles away from home. A trick I learned that will bring them home when they are good and ready is to take their bed and blanket and put it outside in front of the house.

Once, my two beagles got loose and one came back in about 2 hours and the other followed an hour later. Of course they were covered in ticks and the wife freaked out and took them to the emergency vet to have them removed. I could of done it, but she wasn't having it. My wallet took a serious gut punch on that one.
